How to plant lavender seeds and how to germinate
Lavender can be grown from seed, and spring and fall are good times for sowing.
Seeds should be prepared before planting, which can be purchased directly from the seed store.
Soak the seeds in warm water, then remove them and place on a wet towel to wait for the seeds to germinate.
Prepare suitable potting soil before sowing. The container does not have much requirements. The soil needs to
ensure the loosening effect. Sow the prepared seeds into it. After sowing, water it thoroughly and cover it with
a layer of plastic wrap to promote the germination of the seeds.
1. Sowing time
Lavender can be grown from seeds, which is one of the methods of propagation, and it is not complicated to operate.
In order to ensure the survival rate, it is necessary to choose a suitable time for sowing. Spring and autumn are good
times for sowing. Spring can be selected from March to May each year, and autumn can be selected from September
to October. These two time periods are conducive to Sow and reproduce.
2. Prepare the seeds
Prepare the seeds before sowing. You can buy them directly from the seed store to ensure the quality of the seeds,
and do not buy expired seeds.
3. Soak germination
After preparing the seeds, soak the seeds in warm water, the water temperature should be about 40 degrees,
wait for the water to cool and soak for a while, then take it out and put it on a wet towel to wait for the seeds to germinate.
Fourth, prepare the potting soil
Lavender should be prepared with suitable potting soil before sowing. There is not much requirement for the container for sowing,
as long as it can accommodate the germination of seeds. The soil is required to ensure the loosening effect. You can choose
vermiculite, peat, sphagnum moss, perlite and other plant materials to mix, and then sterilize before planting.
5. Sowing the seeds
After the pot soil is guaranteed, the prepared seeds can be sown in, watered thoroughly after sowing,
and covered with a layer of plastic wrap to promote the germination of the seeds.
